Today we are fishing with David Green, Marshall Green and David Lagan. This is two days after the coldest weather of the year, the water is still very cold but warming up. Our morning began catching some schooling trout, ladyfish and small bluefish on the grass flats in 3-5 ft. of water. With a negitive tide early as the tide started coming in we moved into Pine Island Sound and started fishing potholes for nice trout up to 22 inches.{%image_id=7863%} By noon the air temperature was up and the tide began to cover the flats, we found a school of redish and fished them with topwater plugs for 3 hrs. This is one of my favorite ways to fish for redfish, when they are active enough its a blast. There was a fish David Lagan caught about 10 lbs. that swollowed the entire plug.{%image_id=7862%} There were also some nice trout mixed in with the reds. We ended our day fishing some canals for jacks. This was a good winter day. Enjoy the photos.{%image_id=7864%} Ultimate Charters Capt. Gary Clark Ph. 239-542-9315 e-mail [email protected]
