Fishing report for week ending 9/13/09 with more rain and overcast days the water temps are coming down. The redfish are schooling and becoming much more active. The end of this week gave us tides much higher than normal, the redfish get far back into the bushes to feed on mangrove crabs and small fish. Snook season came in without a bang giving up more shorts than keeper fish. Mangrove snapper, trout and mackeral have been good inside the passes on the grass in 3-6 ft. of water. On the days before the last full moon there were a good number of tarpon schooling off the beaches but they have dissapeared. I believe we will see them again this fall along with some of the best redfishing that we get all year. For you diehards that hang on throughout the summer this is what you have waited for. October fishing!!! Get out and fish! For charter information or to book a trip call Capt. Gary Clark Ultimate Charters Ph. 239-542-9315 www.ultimatecharters.com
