"Lock Jaw" Today I had the pleasure of guiding 3 men from New England, Barry, Jeremy and Kevin. We started the day a little late at 9am, but quickly made up for time. After a very short run to a snook spot I dropped the Power Pole and as soon as the first bait hit the water, we were hooked up. It's hard to imagine, and I almost can't believe I am saying this, but we got a little bored with the Snook and decided to try our luck at the Silver King. I pulled up the Power Pole and headed to Boca Grande Pass, as I made the turn around Cayo Costa I was greeted by at least 100 boats. This usually means the fish are eating, so I quickly became boat 101. After jigging for about 30 minutes, I realized no one was hooked up, so I went to the Hill to toss some livies. I rigged 2 lines on bobbers and one free lined, all baited with white bait. The two on corks were ignored, but the free line hooked up right away , however we lost it right away as well. The Tarpon bite was slow today, but the snook bite was hot. Fish anywhere on the beach and the passes for a 20-30 fish day. The key is good bait, and if you know how to toss a net it won't be hard to get. Get out there, be persistent, get good bait, and "GO CATCH EM" Captain Jason Marsh www.anglerschoiceoutfitters.com 239.246.3579
