Fishing around Sanibel Island is more comfortable now that the weather changed this week with the cool and dry front, mornings on the low 70s and dry.The bait has grown big enough to stop hanging up in the net, yesterday was a one throw bait stop. Spanish are slashing through the bait schools at every bar I stop at. We fished near Redfish pass yesterday and caught mackrel, trout, snapper and lady fish. A tarpon free jumped for a show right behind the boat. We moved closer to Pine Island drifting towards the edges of the sand bar and a school of Redfish moving down the edge popped up. What a sight, clear water and 200 overslot redfish!!. We made 3 passes through the school and hooked up every time. {%image_id=17401%}{%image_id=17400%}
