Water temperatures dropped down to the low 80's, bait is plentiful, and fishing was good! The action on the deep grass flats was very steady, with anglers catching a lot of spotted sea trout. Bluefish, Spanish mackerel, ladyfish, mangrove snapper, jacks, and other species were also landed. We started early casting Bass Assassin Sea Shad Baits on jigs, then switched to live bait for the last 90 minutes or so. The flats from Big Pass north all held fish. {%image_id=70302%}
