Despite water temperatures in the upper 80's, fishing was very good this week. Getting out there early was important! The deep grass flats yielded speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, pompano, bluefish, jacks, grouper, snapper, and ladyfish. Most of the fish hit Bass Assassin jigs, but free lined shrimp produced a few fish as well. Bait is plentiful on most of the flats and that attracts the game fish. Stephen's Pt., Middlegrounds, Bishop's Pt., and Buttonwood were the top spots this week. {%image_id=63423%}
