{%image_id=65477%}Action was good on the deep grass flats again this week. With no rain, the water temperature has eased up to the upper 80s. The best bite was in fairly deep water, 8′ or so. All of the fish this week were caught on jigs, mostly a red gold shiner 4″ Bass assassin Sea Shad, but a few Gulp Shrimp as well. Speckled trout, bluefish, jacks, ladyfish, red and gag grouper, mangrove snapper, sharks, sea bass, catfish, and more were caught. Middlegrounds and Radio Tower were the top spots. I did a little bream fishing, hoping to find them on beds with the full moon. The bite was fair, maybe the water is just too warm. A few were caught at Benderson Lake and Evers reservoir on black Beetlespins and tiny twister tail jigs.
