Fly anglers fishing with me, out of CB's Saltwater Outfitters on Siesta Key, had some action catching and releasing blues, jack crevalle and snook and spin fishing anglers scored with DOA Lures on snook, redfish, blues and jacks in Sarasota Bay recently. {%image_id=69177%} {%image_id=69178%} {%image_id=69179%} Mark and Trenton Moreni, from Dillon, MT, fished a night trip and a flats trip in Sarasota Bay with me recently and caught and released several snook and bluefish on flies and a CAL jig with a shad tail. Keith McClintock, from Lake Forest, IL, fished with me on a couple of other trips with several family members. The group caught and released several snook and a red on CAL jigs with grubs and shad tails. {%image_id=69180%} Look for reds, snook and large trout in shallow water. Fishing deep grass flats of Sarasota Bay is a usually a good choice for action with a variety of species including trout, Spanish mackerel, jacks, blues and more. Our natural resources are under constant pressure from red tides fueled by industrial, agricultural and residential runoff, toxic spills and discharges, freezes, increasing fishing pressure and habitat loss and degradation, please limit your kill, don't kill your limit!
