Steady action in Sarasota

Fishing was very steady this week for clients fishing the deep grass flats in Sarasota. Anglers casting Bass Assassin jigs caught a variety of species. I had several anglers fly fishing as well, and caught plenty of fish on Clouser Minnow patterns. Ladyfish were plentiful, with speckled trout to 23", Spanish mackerel and bluefish to 3 pounds, silver trout, sharks, and other species being hooked. Big ladyfish and bluefish were caught in Big Pass as well. I spent a few hours having clients cast Rapala X-Raps around bars and shorelines, catching a couple of snook. {%image_id=71243%}
