Comfortable temps, but windy conditions....
Sebastian, florida
Sal Tardella
December 17, 2012
We fished on Friday with buddies, Rick Pino of Sebastian, and Ron Greisdale—a British snowbird. We started out working around the Intracoastal islands, but had no hookups. In an effort to avoid the steady 15-25mph winds in the Indian River and the Sebastian Inlet we made our way to the narrow Sebastian River which is naturally shielded from winds by thick mangrove growth along its shores. Using sinking swimmers, we caught five snook, several jacks up to six pounds, a couple of mangrove snappers, but no trout. We were surprised to see no sign of ladyfish, a specie that's regularly found in that location.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Sal Tardella
