Report for Sebastian Florida
Sebastian, florida
Sal Tardella
February 21, 2006
We returned to the Indian River last Friday with son, Neil, and our good Sebastian pal, Rick Pino. It was a fantastic day, with sea trout, pompano, and an 18-inch silver trout--the largest one I've ever seen down here. On Saturday we fished with a single angler--an Orlando resident visiting relatives in nearby Wabasso. Will, an experienced fisherman, caught some ladyfish and sea trout. J.R. Osborne of Titusville entertained his 15-year-old daughter, Heather--who lives in Buffalo, NY. With the warmer water temps, fishing was very productive--including ladyfish, sea trout, jack crevelles, and a nice 19-inch pompano. All were caught with motor-oil colored Sparkling Beetle as well as Gulp shrimp lures. Now that the cold weather has moved out of the area, the fishing is getting more consistent--with Spanish Mackerel and bluefish being caught in the Inlet.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Sal Tardella
