Report for Sebastian Florida

We fished with Rick Pino and Jack Balme of Sebastian, concentrating our efforts in several spots on the Indian River. Using Gulp Alive! shrimp and mullet lures, we boated almost three dozen fish--including sea trout, ladyfish, mangrove snapper, silver trout and--surprisingly, many whiting--as we worked very slowly off the bottom in 4-6 feet of water. We also tried drifting in the Inlet, but brought in only one flounder. Water temps have dropped down to 63 degrees, which probably explains the appearance of whiting as well as the low number of sea trout that day.
