Some pretty good fishing, despite the winds....

On Thursday we fished with Gary Zell of Michigan and Vero Beach FL—who's been aboard My Bonnie several times over the past few years. He brought along his son-in-law, Rick Cook, also a Michigander. The winds were a steady 20mph blow, with gusts up to 35mph throughout the trip, but the men had a great experience bringing in sailcats up to eight pounds and jack crevelles up to seven pounds, as well as a lot of ladyfish. It was a great catch, considering the difficult conditions. River fishing still isn't what it should be, but some of the off-shore anglers have been doing very well whenever the weather is favorable.
