The inshore bite has been good at first and last light or even in the dark. Trout, ladyfish and a slew of other fish are loaded around dock lights feeding heavy on shrimp and small bait fish. Once the sun rises topwaters for the first hour of light has been good followed by soaking bait till the heat kicks in. Hurricane Irene although passed hundreds of miles off our coast we still felt the affects of it tidal surge that flooded the grass and brought out the tailing reds. A perfectly placed soft plastic dragged slowly across a redfish is key to hook ups!
