Subject: Stick Marsh/Farm 13, Florida Submitted by George, Imagination Bassin Guide Services Date Fished: 2/9/2001 Water Temperature: 64 Water Clarity: 1 foot There isn't much to say about the shiner fishing other than to repeat that it is a method that produces tremendous numbers of fish on these waters. The most productive method at this time is free-lined shiners and the preferred shiner seems to be the smaller shiners. Anytime you can go out and catch over 40 fish in four hours you have to say you had a great day, and that's the kind of catching that is happening right now. Wednesday's trip with Bob Ville did just that and yesterday was another fantastic day with Jack Harris and friend Larry. For delivery of shiners right to the lake at $13 per dozen you can call Middleton's Fish Camp @ 561 778-0150. They do require a minimum of 6 dozen. Scott did the 1.5 hour drive yesterday for a no-show (without even so much as a phone call thank you) so after waiting until 8 AM at the ramp he headed out to do some search and catching with artificials. Working in the south end of the Farm with a floating worm he placed 12 in the boat to 5 pounds. The fish are there deep in the south end but be careful getting to them. Work slow and thorough and if it gets windy get out. Put the trolling motor as slow as you can and put the bait near a stump, laydown or hydrilla bank. Welcome to the BFN group. Cya out there!
