Subject: Stick Marsh/Farm 13, Florida Submitted by George, Imagination Bassin Guide Services Date Fished: 3/13/02 Water Temperature: 74 Water Clarity: 0 Mark Lee and his father came back for one more try at the Marsh but the weather and fish just didn't want to help them out. However, I am sure they will more than make up for any lack of fish on their next trip. Gary Morgan and friends just finished up a three day trip that was quite successful with somewhere around 130+ fish caught with shiners. Although the artificial bite has been iffy the shiner bite has been excellent. Free lined shiners and location was the producer with most fish being caught in the spillway area. Water conditions are a bit stirred up with the wind and all the loose hydrilla stems floating about. The coots have knocked the top off most of the hydrilla mats that were our here and in the process have stirred up quite a mess. However, the water will clear quickly and the artificial bite will return strongly as the frontal movements grind to a halt. Spring is here and the upcoming fishing is expected to be strong. Today the wind was forecasted to be 10-15 but as usual the weathermen were way off base. Wind gusts to 32 mph were the treat out here and made for some tough work for those working artificial baits. The rest of the week is forecasted to have winds of 10 or less. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. See you on the water.
