New Page 1 Fishing remains strong both on the Farm and on the Marsh. Russ hauled out this 5.25 beauty on a Chug Bug 4/18/02 from the south end of the Farm. It was about 1 PM and the Chug bug bite had been strong all day. Once the top water bite starts here you can pretty much count on it all day. Russ's fish had followed my fish that weighed in at an identical weight by about 10 minutes and both fish with that exciting top water explosion that we all love to see. Given a choice of favorite bite I would certainly have to put this a the top of the list. I would also have to put Russ at the top of my list as a fishing partner for the day. This picture of Russ and Scott shows the quality of fish that are in the spillway area of the Farm. She hit a Chug Bug that was cast into the current. You just can't beat the excitement of seeing them inhale the bug on the surface. We caught a fair amount of fish in the spillway area on the morning of the 17th so you just might want to check out the area. Early in the day before checking the spillway area out Russ landed this bass using again the Chug Bug from the south end of the Farm. As with the previous days the 17th would prove to be an outstanding day for all and gave Russ the chance to see just how good the Marsh/Farm can be. Over the four days that Russ fish with us there was a total of 240 bass caught and released. About 25% came on Senkos and the rest came on top water Chug Bugs. We didn't break that magic 10 pound weight but we did have plenty of 4 - 7 pound fish come to the boat, and above all we had a great time. Lots of laughs, lots of good fish, and great camaraderie made for a fantastic visit with Russ Bassdozer. If you are looking for a great time fishing and the fantastic excitement of top water explosions give us a call. See you on the water.
