James Crocker chartered us today to take some of his clients and employees fishing. After catching some live bait to have on hand for different types of fishing we headed offshore to start trolling. I had heard from some other fisherman that there had been some Mahi action way out in the deep, we headed out pretty far. On the way out we found an abandoned Cuban Raft floating in 750 feet of water about 4 miles south of the St. Lucie Inlet. {%image_id=34978%} {%image_id=34977%} We spent 2.5 hours trolling around it and catching around 20 Mahi. Unfortunately, only 12 of the Mahi were keepers. We had fun releasing the rest of the fish on light tackle before we moved on. Later we tried some bottom fishing without much action - there was no current and the water was very dirty. We headed in after a 3/4 day. Capt. James Ewing www.boneshakercharters.com (772) 286-5504
