The bottom bite remains hot around area bridges. The Ten Cent and Stuart Causeway Bridges are holding some nice black drum running 3-8 lbs., croaker just under 3 lbs., snook under the slot, mangrove snappers, and some ribbonfish. Earlier in the week we caught 8 black drum in 45 minutes! {%image_id=46664%} The inlet has been interesting with flounder to 7 lbs., mangrove and cubera snapper to 6.5 lbs., fat snook to 25", nice sized sheepshead to 4 lbs., jacks and ladyfish, with occasional Spanish mackerel and pompano on Capt. Joe's pompano and mackerel jigs. Most other fish were caught jigging with my homemade trollrites and shrimp. {%image_id=46665%} {%image_id=46666%} {%image_id=46667%} {%image_id=46663%} Speaking of Spanish mackerel, now is the time to get out there, weather permitting of course. I try to get a dozen or so charters out each year for our mackerel run which lasts till March. Last year we had 4 half day trips with over 100 macs landed. Capt.
