The water releases from Lake Okeechobee have stopped now for 3 weeks and salinity levels have risen dramatically in both the Indian and St. Lucie Rivers. We are starting to see some of the winter-spring species rolling into our area with more pompano, Spanish mackerel and bluefish around. The Spanish macs are thick just outside the inlet but the seas need to flatten out to 2 foot or less to make it pontoonable. The bridges are holding some nice black drum, redfish and snappers. Several goliath groupers to 20 lbs. have been released in the past few trips. Most of the snook lately have been caught in the St. Lucie Inlet and docks along the river. Snook remains open till December 15th with trout opening January 1st. {%image_id=51008%} {%image_id=51009%} {%image_id=51007%} {%image_id=51006%} Happy Holidays! Capt.
