Early Mullet Run

Seems the finger mullet are showing up early this year which is fine by me. Last year was a different story with heavy releases from Lake Okeechobee which dropped salinity and slowed down the mullet run which normally kicks in early September. It's a great time to catch big snook which are spawning now. I recommend livebaits on circle hooks. Handle these fish with care when released. Still catching tripletail and flounder in the Indian River. Up to 28 tt's for the year. Nice mangrove snapper near structures. Seeing an increase of weakfish the past few weeks in the St. Lucie River. {%image_id=55256%} {%image_id=55255%} {%image_id=55257%} {%image_id=55258%} Capt.
