Heating Up In Stuart

Fishing Stuart Florida the past few weeks we have seen an increase in baitfish and water temperature. The inshore temps are running 91 degrees with cooler water closer to the inlets. With the added baitfish around, the fishing has been quite good for the most part. The only exception would be the tripletail bite north up the Indian River. The last 2 attempts we have seen snapper, flounder, trout and "others" but tripletail have been scarce. With the rainy season increasing, we should see a drop in water temps. Just might run a recon trip tomorrow for them. Snook are still in the inlets and bridges banging livebaits and jigs. The snook season opens September 1st with 28-32 inch slot and one fish per person. Otherwise, plenty of black drum at the bridges and smaller ones up to 3 pounds in the inlet.
