A swell is on from a low off of the Carolinas, but we had some decent fishing the past two weeks. The cobia bite continues on the Bull Shark Barge and the Sandpile. We limited out the other day using live greenies and we also had some king and cuda bite offs. There is a strong king bite off of the Loran Tower in fifty to seventy feet of water. Snapper, porgies and triggerfish are still running strong in the same area when fishing the bottom. Amberjack are being taken on the wrecks and reefs. We smoked a thirty pounder that my buddy Carl caught the other day. A one hundred and one pounder was caught last week out of Fort Pierce. Imagine trying to put that in your fish box. Some tarpon and permit are being spotted along the beaches as are schools big jacks. The dolphin bite is slow and scattered and so are the sailfish. Your best bet is to stay in close and bend some rods with live bait rather than troll for hours looking for fish in the deep water. There are several local tournaments this weekend and the seas should be only two to three feet so get out and enjoy it. More later.{%image_id=15492%}
