The red hot cobia bite that we have been enjoying has slowed down somewhat, but we still managed to boat a couple last week. Live bait has been running hot and cold but it could still be found on some of the near shore wrecks. Dolphin have been hard to come by in the past week. We sat on some beautiful weed lines on our last two trips but we just caught bonita. A few sailfish are being caught but they are widespread. Kings are still mainly south of us, but we had a twenty pounder yesterday on our last live bait. Tarpon and big jacks are off the beach feeding on mullet schools. Look for schools of permit near the beach and up by the power plant. Live crabs will be the ticket. We had a great day bottom fishing by the Loran Tower in seventy feet of water. We loaded up on porgies, triggerfish, and a couple of lane snapper. Muttons are also being caught south of us and straight out of the St. Lucie Inlet. Calm seas are predicted for the weekend so get out and enjoy it. More later.{%image_id=15750%}
