With all this recent rain upper tampa bay has been a tough place to find fish. Leaving out of the courtney cambell causeway last week Capt. Mike Murray, myself and my client Eric, had to run far south to find good white bait. Eric was on a charter given to him by his wife to celebrate his recent retirement from Tampa Fire Rescue. After loading the rangers wells with them we noticed they were struggling to stay alive as we headed back north. We waited until the incoming tide before ventuing north of the Howard Franklin bridge. Once there we found nice snook up to 32" around rocky outcroppings and rip rap. Moving farther north we fished with cut bait and found redfish to 30" hugging the mangrove shore lines. These fish were caught using the new EUPRO 7ft. diamond rods and EUPRO ghost flurocarbon leader in 20lb and 30lb test.

Tight Lines,
