Fly fishing Tampa Bay and Anna Maria Island

Fly fishing Tampa Bay and Anna Maria island has been great this past month even with the unusually warm weather. Redish, snook, false albacore, and a few tarpon have been the targets lately. With daytime temps in the low 90's at times its been feeling like late summer fishing! As I write this a hint of Fall is finally starting to show itself though. Look for shallow water Redfishing to get good with post front conditions. Fly fishing Tampa bay and along the Nature coast will produce good opportunities to fly fish for redfish the next few months. Fly fishing for snook in the protected mangove bays will also be a good option. Trout big mackerel and jacks are plentiful right now and great fly targets. I look forward to a great holiday season!
