Mid July August Fishing

{%image_id=44345%}If you can stand the heat the fishing is great.{%image_id=44350%} Mangrove Snapper are just about everywhere right now. They are after the new hatch bait that is all over the bay during summer. Any type of structure has snapper on it.{%image_id=44347%} I have even caught some nice Mangroves on the flats fishing for trout. {%image_id=44346%}{%image_id=44344%}Spanish Mackerel are also here chasing the bait pods. A fun way to fish them is near any of the passes. Look for birds diving on the bait. A small white nylon jig is all you need. Throw into the bait and reel like crazy. {%image_id=44348%}Snook have been great all year and are on fire during the summer. {%image_id=44342%}Reds are grouping together for there late summer and early fall routine.
