The west Coast is has some awesome night fishing for snook under the docks. From St. Pete on northward, there are great opportunities to catch redfish and seatout as well. This time of year can produce good numbers of reds and feisty seatrout on fly. Don't count the snook out. Many of the big spawned out females find there way under the lighted docks near the passes. On recent outings, first time saltwater fly anglers have caught up to 15 reds in a few hours of night fishing. Most of the reds are in the slot, averaging about 20-24 inches. You will find some overslot fish around as well. Trout can provide non-stop action on the fly.
