Reel Till U Feel Charters, Tampa Bay Fishing Report March is one of the best months to fish Tampa Bay. The Sheepshead are in their spawn mode and chewing crazy. Live and cut pieces of Shrimp fished around the bridges, docks & rock piles have produced some 3 to 5 pounders. Some of the rock piles in the bay are holding some Black Sea Bass & Mangrove Snapper eating Shrimp and hitting jigs bounced on the bottom. Silver Trout bite has been stellar fishing the deeper channels in the bay. Spotted Trout are roaming the grass flats in search of an easy meal, no record setters have been landed but a lot in the 17 – 18 inch range. One my favorite fish to target is the Snook, using white bait. The white bait has been tough to find at time but when the bait well is full or close to it the bite has been on. Catching most of them in the 24 inch range with a few in the slot. Redfish and Cobia are in the area with the bite only to get better as the water temp reaches the magic 72 degree mark. You can't catch a fish unless you have a line in the water so get out and enjoy the weather and have some fun. Looking to book an Inshore Fishing Charter on Tampa Bay give me a call.
