Spring is Almost Here

Spring is almost here and fishing is starting to heat up right along with the weather. Well, I have to say that this has been one of the warmest winters I can remember, with temperatures already in the 70s. In February, some of the fish that normally show up in the spring were already here: kingfish, Spanish mackerel, cobia and blackfin tuna. Sharks and barracudas will also be here soon. Trolling with live bait works best. Grouper and snapper are our year-round target sea bass and porgies are always mixed in during the cooler months.
