Reel Till U Feel Charters Fishing Report for Tampa Bay With the passing cold front this last week brought some cooler temperatures along with a little rain, windy conditions for a few days that stirred up the water a little and then high pressure the bite remained good. Working areas where the birds are diving on bait set us up for a banner day catching Spanish Mackerel. A lot of them in the 12 to 16 inch range and some were 18 to 22 inches. Some of the schools of bait had Jacks tarring up the bait. A lot of anglers turn their nose up at catching Spanish Mackerel and Jacks till they get into the feeding frenzy of these fish. Catching one after another for 20 to 30 minutes and you hear one of them say "I got 11 of them, I won" another one says "Look" birds are diving over their I want to catch some more. That's what it all about having fun and keeping the rods bent. Trout are holding in the deeper grass and seem to bite better on the incoming tide. When the tide moves in, Working areas where the Mullet are present with cut bait (Ladyfish and Pinfish) has landed Redfish of all sizes. The Snook are roaming the mangrove shore line on the high water eating Greenbacks. Some live chumming can help locate the fish. The bridges are still holding Mangrove Snappers and will till the water temperatures drops into the low 70's. Get out on the water and have some fun.
