Tampa Bay Fishing Report 8/11/14 Reel Till U Feel Charters Fishing Report for Tampa Bay (Gandy Area) Mangrove Snapper is still the hot bite of the week. Fishing for them around the bridges with small Shrimp and cut pieces has landed my anglers with there 5 fish limit for dinner. While fishing the bridge pilings some nice size Black Drum (10 to 15 pounds) and a few Pompano in the 12 to 14 inch class were caught. Spotted a few Tarpon and Cobia crushing the bridge span with no takers. The 4 to 6 foot of water over the grass is holding some slot size Spotted Trout, 10 to 13 inch Silver Trout, along with Blacktip and Bonnethead Sharks. Fishing the bait schools has had anglers with tired arms from fighting nice size Jack, Spanish Mackerel and Ladyfish fishing with live white bait. Get out on the water and have some fun.
