Tampa Bay Tarpon on Fly

Tarpon fishing got off to a slow start this week. We saw more and more fish as the week progressed. Fish were showing well on the beach, but conditions were not favorable for fishing out there. Stan from St. Pete boated his first tarpon on fly on Wednesday. It was a feisty 60 pound fish. I had a great time fishing with him and his son Andy. We had a few more fish eat through out the week. But the weather and fish have been inconsistent. This weekend and on into next week is shaping up nicely. We should expect to see clear, sunny skies, and lots of fish. The tides will be getting better and better as we head toward the full moon next weekend. Hope everyone can get out there and put some fish in the air! Capt.
