The Tampa snook, redfish and trout bite has been Awesome! Tampa bay waters are in the 70's and rising; April is less than a week away! {%image_id=20019%} Tampa snook fishing is begining to heat up! Shamrock Fishing Charters report decent numbers of snook being caught in the river mouths and the shallow water flats of Tampa'S South Shore. Most snook have been taken while free lining live sardines or soaking cut treadfin herring over dark patches of grass along mangrove shore lines. The snook have been ranging in size from 22 to 30 inches which is better than exspected. {%image_id=20014%} Tampa Redfishing been excellent up until the start of start of March's One tide days. However, the redfish bite should return to normal once we see a good tide cycle. The bull reds should soon be invading St pete and the Tampa side of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Look for them on the flats and around oyster bars close to Egmont Key. {%image_id=20016%}{%image_id=20020%}{%image_id=20017%} Tampa trout fishing has been awesome! 2010 had to be a banner year for big trout and this year should prove to be the same. Tampa trout populations are flourishing and should continue to do so as long as we dont experience any bad algae blooms this year. When trout fishing fish the potholes on the grass flats. Big trout tend to feed around oyster bars and a fat pinfish with the correct presentation might land you that trophy gator trout you been dreaming about! {%image_id=20013%}{%image_id=20015%} Till next time have a safe and quality day on the water!
