It was such a windy day I made the decision to stay close to wind breaks. Fished the Hillsborough River, Palm River unrestricted areas of the port in downtown Tampa. Of course the high winds would make it difficult at times but at least we where fishing and catching. We caught some nice sheepshead, snapper and a few smaller snook. The sheepshead and snapper came from the bridges and the snook off the rip-rap lines banks. For the snook I would head hook a shrimp with a light jighead and pitch it toward the rocks. Bounce it down the drop and you would get hit. For the sheepshead I used a #1 hook and #3 splitshot. I would scrape the pilings and drop it down with a piece of shrimp. The bite was quick.
