Warm winter fishing it seems that some of our species still think it's fall with the water temps still around 70+ degrees. There's still shots at snook in the Gulf - though not as hungary as when they're spawning. On the beaches, you will still have a chance at them until the water temps fall and stay down - then they will move towards the springs in the back country rivers. Pinfish and shrimp on a float just off the bottom can produce some good bites. The redfish and trout bite has been good on high tide, or high to outgoing, up against the mangrove line and around oyster beds. On the negative tides, look for the trout to be pushed into the potholes and depressions. Quarter ounce jigheads with a little John gold flake pattern, worked slowly on the bottom, can produce consistent bites. {%image_id=51447%} Tight Lines, Captain Dustin (727) 487-3045 www.captaindustin.com
