The water is cooling down and the fish are heating up on Lake Oconee. Most of us guides always try to rush the process but no matter how hard you try, the fish are going to do it when they get ready. This week we have seen signs they are getting ready. The crappie fishing will get really awesome over these next couple of weeks as the full moon approaches. We will be pushing spider rigs over deep timber and the fish will be huge! If you have never spider rigged fish, this is a great time to come and find out all about it. The striper bite is also picking up and the gulls will show you where the fish are. This time of year we are pitching jigs, live bait and spoons where we mark fish. If you would like to catch a striper or a cooler full of crappie, give me a call. Its gonna be a great Christmas.

Tight Lines,

Capt. Doug Nelms
