The water is 70 degrees over the biggest part of the lake. It is probably safe to say the fall bite is on! However all year long we have been running about 2 weeks behind on our fishing. I noticed the fish not showing up in their familiar spots 2 weeks late, according to my fishing logs. River Bend, Flagpole and the Pipeline are great places to catch hybrids right now. Anglers are using “goober rigs” and several guys are pulling live bait, which works very well. If you are a shad fisherman, look around the Sugar Creek Bridge for bait. Right now it is loaded up.
