March 6, 2007 Water Temp – Wet “And God told Noah to build an Ark, for he was going to flood the earth with water.” Maybe Noah jumped to quickly because I am not entirely sure that he wasn’t talking about this week at Lake Oconee. The lake is ruined! We had around 5 inches of water that fell on Saturday and when I looked out the window Oconee was coming up over the seawall at my house. It could not have happened at a worse time. It’s March, the full moon, a lunar eclipse, and the crappie should be going wild, instead they are washing the mud off their backs and trying to find a clear drink of water. But it will not take long for the things to heat up quickly. Stay loose and ready and the crappie will show up at any minute up Richland, Sugar, and Rocky Creeks. I figure 2 or 3 days and we should be in full swing. Tight Lines Doug Nelms
