March 13, 2007 Water Temp – 62 The crappie fishing is on right now! The lake is still pretty muddy, but the fish are hungry and anglers are catching them anyway. The dogwood trees haven’t started blooming yet but the fish are in spawning mode, with a lot of “bucks” pulling down the rods into the water. All the favorite areas are producing fish right now. Lick Creek, Richland Creek, Rocky Creek, Apalachee River. Just go to where you have caught fish before and they should be there. Spider-rigging is the preferred way right now, but very soon the fish will be moving up around the docks at night for some really wild action. Give me a call if you want to catch some slabs.
