The fish have returned

The summertime can be a drag on Oconee, but since all the cooler temps have returned, so has the fishing. Yesterday we boated some very big crappie on a half day trip. They were some of the biggest I have seen since March, and it looks like it will just keep getting better. The stripers have also started showing up, and the colder it gets, the better it will be. In a few weeks we will go from downlining minnows to long line trolling for crappie. It is all full speed ahead from here!
