We took Fred Wilson from Danville California out on Dec. 10th. Fred was hoping for a marlin but said he would be happy with anything. After trolling for about 2 hrs. we took our first shot, it was a 70 lb. St marlin but it came off after a couple of jumps. Five minutes later we caught a 60 lb blue marlin. We found a porpoise school and worked it with our "green stick" but no action. On the way home Fred hooked a large blue certainly over 500 lbs. He got it to leader in about 1 hour. Just as we were scrambling for our camera the hook pulled. We had one more shot before we got in. The great thing about Kona is you never know , we can have good fishing on any day. Aloha, Capt Dale
