Kona Hawaii fishing on Sea Strike

This week was dominated by the Tsunami, my son Jack and I took our boat Sea Strike out of the harbor at 2:45 AM Friday Morning. We cruised out to 500 Fathoms to ride out the waves which were due at 3:15 AM. We had no news as the cell phones were out. So we tried to get back in at first light. Much to our surprise the waves were still coming into the harbor. We tried to get in several times but the waves just kept coming. One photo shows us getting flushed back out of Honokohau harbor and the other is the Kona fleet waiting to get back in after a long night. {%image_id=19700%} {%image_id=19701%}
