With lows around 24 and water temps around 46 it has been necessary to fish/troll in 20-30 feet of water to pull this sluggish biting quarry off the bottom. Don’t get me wrong they are there and they are stacked up. You either have to slow troll through them repeatedly, or hover over them and jig right on their noses. But the good news is that they are getting a little use to the colder weather now and are moving into the shallower canals when the water temps hit about 52. On those sunny days focus around the mouths of the canals that have deep water access and work your way into them. You will be pleasantly rewarded with a bent rod and tight line!
