{%image_id=21555%}June 29th Last night I had a client interested in stripe and crappie. So we headed out of Misty Harbor around 6pm. We spent the first hour beating our head against the wall with no luck. So we moved to a new spot and tried a little different tactic. With about 40 minutes of sun left he hooked up. It was a 8 pound stripe that crushed a roadrunner bucktail jig in about 50 feet of water. We made several more passes and on our last pass he hooked up with a big one. After 15 minutes and not even seeing the fish his rod when limp and the fish was gone. As he reeled in his line I wanted to see what happened. His line was fraded bad. That's my bad, I should have retied. We picked up a couple more stripes and about sixteen crappie all over a pound. The fish are there, just very picky. All in all it was a good night but we lost our two biggest fish. Guess that's why they call it fishing
