Today I had three guys on the boat from Indiana. The day started out kind of slow looking for trout and redfish but all of the water in the St. Simons Island sound and surrounding rivers is still really dirty and fresh. We stuck it out for a couple of hours but only picked up one trout. After the trout we decided to run out to the beach and look for tripletail. We started out around three miles off of Jekyll Island beach in 10ft of water it took a little while but once we found them we stayed on them. All of the tripletail were staying in the 8-10ft deep and moved in closer to the beach as the tide came in. Within 2 hours we saw 20 fish only got to cast at 7 of the fish and landed 6 to the boat. Water is trying to clear up there were several other reports over the weekend of a nice trout and redfish bite hopefully things will clean up soon.
