Lake Allatoona Fishing Report May ( Week 5 )

Lake Allatoona

This Lake Allatoona fishing guides report is bought to you by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service. www.firstbiteguideservice.com 770 827-6282. Line side fishing is great. The river run is over and the stripers and hybrids are really starting to school up on the main lake points, flats and humps. Free lining and down lining shad has been the ticket this week. The fish are scattered all over the lake and can be caught almost anywhere. We have caught good numbers of fish in the mouth of Clark Creek, Tanyard Creek and Iron Hill. We have also done very well mid lake this week from the S-Turns to Bartow Carver beach. The key to catching these fish is to be on the water with lines out at or before sun up. Your best bite is going to come in the first hour of day break. These fish are on the move and are starting to school on top. Keep your eyes open and have a White Zoom Super Fluke Jr ready. Trolling is really starting to pick up and is working best mid day. The umbrella rigs are working over a 30 foot bottom. We still have a few days open for May so give me a call at 770 827-6282 for availability. Be sure to look at the Fish and Game Forecaster on our site each week to know what the feeding periods are. Or better yet, buy your own copy off our site.
