Water Temp 68 We are still waiting for the fish to make up their minds that it is time for them to start the fall bite, but they are being difficult. There are a few catches of crappie coming in over the lake, but no one has found the big ones just yet. Now I know that some people are going to say they are catching big crappie every time they go out. However most of the fish you catch up till today are considered throwbacks, not brokenecks. The hybrids are starting to show up in River Bend and you can catch them by trolling Shad Raps throughout the channel. We have caught a few that will weigh close to 8 pounds, but by in large most of the time you are pulling bait and waiting for them to bite. It will get better and as soon as I see them stacking up I will issue a report. Until then, keep asking and keep looking. Tight Lines Doug
