My guided bass trips on Lake Toho have produced more trophy size bass lately as the weather begins to warm and the days get longer. Water is still cold for these Florida strain bass so shiner fishing is still your best producer. Trolling and freelining shiners over submerged hydrilla has been the most effective technique. The artificial bite may begin to pick up but it will depend on the weather. I still prefer to see my customers use shiners to increase the odds of catching their biggest bass ever.
