Strong afternoon storms meant fishing early in the morning or late in the afternoon all week long. Tarpon fishing has still been good even with cloudy water nearshore. Fishing the early morning tides with threadfins or crabs continued to produce results when anglers put time into it. Snook have continued to bite along mangrove shorelines in Estero Bay, Pine Island, and up to Cayo Costa. Targeting tree blow downs while using both live baits and cut baits like sardines or ladyfish got the job done. When targeting snook this week, going heavier on the tackle has helped as the occasional 35"-39" fish will pick up your bait and wreck you if not prepared. Redfishing has been ok one day and poor the next, most fish have been in the low 20' range with an occasional big boy thrown in from time to time. Slow rolling on the trolling motor throwing soft plastics has caught most fish for us this week
